Lilly Nichols

Lilly Nichols is a project assistant with the Arsht- Rock Resilience Center’s extreme heat initiative. She provides coordination, writing, and research support to projects focused on heatwave early warning systems, health and gender impacts, and the heat research compendium. Lilly is passionate about expanding global access to climate health solutions, and researching the intersections of climate change, public health, and social vulnerability.
Lilly’s previous experience before joining Arsht-Rock included maternal health project implementation in western Tanzania, which expanded access to preeclampsia screenings. She has also assisted in monitoring and evaluation for a rheumatic heart disease program, and technician ultrasound training initiatives. Lilly has also worked in Covid-19 case management, and research on behavioral health and viral hepatitis.
Lilly is expected to complete her MPH at Boston University May 2023. Her studies have focused on climate and health, as well as emergency preparedness, and disaster response efforts. Lilly graduated Davidson College in 2019, with a BA in political science and a minor in global health.
