Meet the experts

Jorge Gastelumendi is the center’s senior director. He is a veteran climate negotiator and served as a chief advisor and negotiator to the government of Peru, playing a critical role during the adoption of the Paris Agreement.

Jane Gilbert is the center’s chief heat ambassador. She served as the world’s first chief heat officer in Miami-Dade County and was its chief resilience officer. Gilbert is a recognized voice in national climate resilience efforts.

Eleni Myrivili is the center’s global chief heat officer. She has over two decades of public service experience and now advocates for heat resilience programs with the United Nations Environment Programme.
