Lauren Cuppy

Lauren Cuppy is a Young Global Professional intern working with the Communications Team of the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center. She supports the digital communication and engagement efforts of the center across its many workstreams.
Cuppy served as an intern and Research Coordinator of the Sustainable Carolina Leadership Program, co-instructed a first-year seminar course, and led the campus chapter of the TriBeta Biological Honor Society. She also conducted research at the Medical University of South Carolina on social determinants of health in South Carolina and at the University of South Carolina on barriers to healthcare access for African American men. Cuppy spent a semester in Geneva, Switzerland as part of a Global Health and Development Policy program, studying and conducting research on topics such as migration, planetary health, and climate change policy.
Cuppy is in her final semester at the University of South Carolina Honors College pursuing a BS in biological sciences and a BA in global studies.
