Extreme heat poses a threat to environmental and human security, killing more people annually than any other climate disaster. Its effects are significant and unequally distributed, causing outsized impacts on marginalized communities including women and girls. Reducing the impact of climate-driven heat will require innovative and scalable solutions.
To elevate the issue of extreme heat and the many policy solutions for leaders around the world, and to help drive adaptation to heat at an international scale, Arsht-Rock will announce the first-ever Global Ambassador for Heat Action.
