About the event
Monday, December 4 at 8:15 am GST/11:15 pm ET
In 2021, international public finance flows for adaptation and resilience amounted to $21.3 billion. However, this falls 10 to 18 times short of the need for adaptation finance in developing countries. As the planet heats up, the role of climate finance is becoming increasingly important and central to all COP discussions.
A growing number of insurers, banks, and investors are beginning to recognize the benefits of climate investments. In this panel event, our speakers will discuss how the financial system can drive transformational change—and how the public sector can activate these critical partnerships. Around the world, private financial institutions can develop financial instruments, frameworks, and metrics that can enhance adaptation and resilience solutions.
This event will showcase exceptional leadership from the Sharm El-Sheikh Adaptation Agenda finance outcomes and present the emerging business case on adaptation and resilience. Our climate finance experts will consider how the private and public finance sectors can lay the groundwork for a cooler, healthier future.
Register to join the conversation on the challenges and opportunities for climate financing.
